Nutella Lava Cookies!

Read a lot of nutella recipes, and asked liyenn if she wanna bake with me after our crocheting class (omg sound so domesticated!) so out of nutella cake, nutella banana ice cream (tomorrow) and nutella lava cookie/brownie, i chose NUTELLA LAVA COOKIES (doesn’t it already sound awesome?!)

its soft nutella in the inside and chocolate cookie on the outside. YUMS ((: so after baking, we were sitting in the living room for like an hour, talking & laughing about life with wc, kevin, sol and tk! ((: life is supposed to be like that isn’t it. forget about work and just talk about fun memories. had a good time laughing and working off the calories from these cookies (but they were worth it)

here’s the recipe! made about 24 cookies! ((:

(adapted the recipe from kirbiecravings)

1 cup unsalted butter

1¼ cup sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
(or you could have plain cookies with nutella filling as well)

2¼ cups all-purpose flour

a pinch of salt

1 tsp. baking powder

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or butter the pan. Cream the butter and sugar  until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time. Mix in the cocoa powder  until well blended. Add the flour, salt and baking powder to the bowl. Stir in the chocolate chips. Scoop up about 2 tablespoons of dough and roll into a ball. Flatten the ball in the palm of your hand and put in about 1/2 tbsp of nutella in the middle of the dough. Then wrap the edges around to form a ball and to cover the nutella completely. Place on the prepared baking sheets. The cookies will spread out, so make sure you leave enough space in between! Bake about 13-16 minutes, until cookies are cooked and slide easily off of parchment paper. Serve while warm.
